Feet aching
trees shaking Kids moaning stomachs groaning Cicadas screaming views gleaming Throats are drying kids are dying Finally we are there at last i'm so happy to ditch the grass. By Te Rino |
Southern Walkway Poem The sun stretched out its burning fingers, licking us all with heat, Calling upon the dusty ground to punch our aching feet. Hear our groans, taste our bones, this will be over soon. Hear our groans, taste our bones, what are we going to do? Our mouths are dry and crusty, craving only water, And to matters worse, our muscles are burning sorta. Hear our groans, taste our bones, this will be over soon. Hear our groans, taste our bones, what are we going to do? Our skin is pink and we really stink, what are we going to do? And when we reach the sea, we get all salty too! Hear our groans, taste our bones, this will be over soon. Hear our groans, taste our bones, what are we going to do? Help us all!!! By Amie |
Dirt slides beneath my feet
Steep hill rocks are tumbling down My feet are aching Walking steadily As we walk cicadas are humming We had a journey Walking low and high Beaming hot sun is on me It's hot as we walk The water is rising The sand is hard in my hand Its nice to cool down I see cicadas The journey is hard and long We are tired By Rylee |
Sun shining high above my skin
Oriental bay Unique Trees all around me. Houghton bay Everybody had a smile on their face Ride on the bus Nature Windy All dusty and green around my body Long and hot Keep up the good work says the teacher By Xiah-Lee |
Southern walkway poem
Sound of growling stomachs. Often people drank a lot of water. Until we finished kids were moaning. The sound of the waves crashing on the sand. Hearing loud Cicadas on the tree. Everyone having fun at the beach. Reading signs to know where I was going. Near the end I was exhausted. Walking behind the zoo looking at the monkeys. A lot of pain in my legs and knees. Looking at the views on MT victoria. Keen on diving in the refreshing water on the beach. Walking down a slippery bank. After all that pain i made it. Yay I did it. By Kaiyu |
